Maximus reports on his trip

Maximus has posted a report of his trip over to Obsidian a week or so back to check out Mask of the Betrayer. He also links to one by the tileset gurus at Robinson's Workshop, though I haven't had a chance to read that one just yet.

Interestingly, Rogue Dao studios also had a chance to demo their upcoming module at this meeting. I've long been a fanboy of the Planescape setting, and from Maximus's description, and everything else I'd seen from it, it really sounds amazing. I'm actually much more excited about playing their module than the actual expansion campaign... In fact, I'd probably be willing to hold off on purchasing the explansion to see if I could snag the expansion as a Christmas gift, except that Rogue Dao's module will require the expansion!

  1. Looks like all the NWN2 bloggers went silent at the same time... Did you get tangled up waylaying Maerduin on the road from Pennsylvania?

  2. Hi Flem,

Well, I'm still around. ... Just distracted. Baseball playoff season is sort of hard for me to resist being utterly absorbed in (you'll note that I launched this blog AFTER playoff season last year), and I've been really getting into some research stuff at work as well. Plus I had another round of grandparents visiting the grandkid this past week...

I have taken on the vault review of A Corpse, a Vote, and I hope to get that done this week. But I have a feeling that my NWN activities will continue to be somewhat limited until after the world series. Hopefully I'll get the bug again at that point.

    Sorry! :)

  3. What sort of research do you do? I'm a grad student in chemistry. Knee deep in research myself...

  4. Hi Ken,

I'm trying to finish up my PhD in biology. I work on the physiological constraints on eye development and evolution in insects...spend a lot of time pushing fruit flies around. :)

  7. Hey Berliad,

For when you are able to emerge from your mad doctor activities, I wanted to make sure you didn't miss this juicy tidbit... ;) It's been long enough coming, after all!
